I discovered Willie King about 4 years ago after watching my friend juana go to his sets at the biscuit and i would viist a different stage. I didn't wanna see an old guy in a red ball cap. But one year, i said i'm gonna check out willie. Omg. Willie rocks. He calls his home place Freedom Creek and his band is the Liberators. Check him out http://tinyurl.com/yxu3gm
Willie is the real deal. Check out his cd, Living In A New World. He has a song on it called "Terrorized" that is the best post 9-11 song I've heard. On the same cd, he ends up with a testimony on what the blues means to him. Priceless!

yyr. I think willie does a little talkin on all his cds and I love that. Usually i don't like to hear musicians tell stories in between songs too much but with willie, it's different. One of these days i'm going to his place for the freedom creek picnic Memorial day weekend.

Count me as a fan as well. It's not often that I get excited about a blues artist these days, as I've pretty much seen them all, but Willie is refreshing.
