Geez, why they been teasing us all week with the "Click Here to See the FaisDoDo Cam" banner on the home page, when alls we can see is one shot of last Sunday at 7:45 p.m. when it's all over? Will the ability to see the pics by day/time be available soon? Pretty please with cherries on top?

They have changed the board software at least twice since I posted this in prior years, so this info can't be found by a board search or even looking at the old sites in archives.org.

So, here 'tis:

Here is a photo from the Fais Do Do from Sat. May 6 at exactly 12:14 pm:

Hey, not bad! I should try that more often!

The source for this is the url for the cam page at nojazzfest.com/cams then adding to it these things: "fdd" for fais do do, 070505 for Sat's date, and 121400 for the time in hours, minutes and seconds, with underscores instead of spaces. Thus the url for the above photo is:

Now, if it happens that you were there 15 seconds later, because the photos appear to be taken in 15 second increments, the url is:

See the difference in the urls? The top of the hour at 12:14 has moved to 15 secs later, 12:14 & 15 seconds.

There are a few problems with this unofficial way to view the photos. The main one, if the camera one day was not on the :00 :15 :30 :45 schedule, you will have to play around with the times second by second to see what the correct pattern is. I looked quickly for a rain pic from Friday and just got blanks, but did not check every second. I did find me on another day, which is probably what broke the camera!

Festydave COULD have done this, or more, but is probably somewhere in the Bahamas having tall drinks w/ little umbrellas in them and interviewing girls in bikinis for the next Bobby Lounge show. So we regular folks figured it out without him!

No, I ran through random assorted times for the first weekend, and can't find anything either. They have used a couple of different official ways to view the pics over the years, but I've always been able to find them ahead of that. Less so, this year, I believe just two days of the second weekend so far.

Hi, AP, just saw this reply of yours. Anyhoo, no thanks, I'll stick with smiling -- always gets good results (and makes me feel good too)!! Speaking of factoids, there's research that says just the physical act of smiling and laughing (even if you don't mean it) releases endorphins and makes you feel good. I've been doing it in the car, just to test out the theory. I think it works. Placebo effect? Who cares?

We sure have been bumping. Just putting a suggestion in the box. Somehow make it earlier to retreive pix post fest.

Something must have happened. After the 1st weekend, Mrs. AtP and I were able to find our pix by trial-and-error hunting method. I wish I had saved it, but then, I never saved any years', just noticed how dumb I look and moved on quickly! I'll bet there was a hard drive crash or something like that. I wonder if they will still be able to have the cam in future fests?
