View Full Version : Any Extra Congo Square Posters Out There???

Just wondering if there's a ThreadHead out there that has an extra Congo Square poster that they'd sell at a reasonable price? I preordered the Jerry poster, but once I saw them at the Fairgrounds, I realized how much more I like the Rebirth poster, but by then it had sold out.

I know it's a long shot, but if anybody can help a brother out, I'd be eternally grateful.

Looks like there are a few on eBay. I wish I had purchased one as well. The JLL poster just doesn't do it for me.

Might try some of the poster shops in the Quarter. Probably won't be cheap, but you might find one. Good luck.

I'm back home now, so I'm at the mercy of ebay I guess. One shop that I went into in the Quarter on Sunday night wanted $275 for the unsigned print. Needless to say, I said no thanks and walked out.

The guy at the art shop on Decatur said he expected the Congo Square Posters to disappear fast. That was the Thursday before 1st weekend.

put me in the ISO category as well. i didnt know they had sold out. i think the JLL is uglier than the HCJ poster

Got my double signed CS poster and mailed it home before the crowd arrived.

Now I just go ahead and order both posters online before fest. That way I know I'll have them no matter what. The ones that I don't care for that much to hang up at home, I'll keep to sell or donate to the raffles in the future. I missed out on a couple in past years that I really regret, so no more.

I know some folks don't like to do that, because they charge your card right away, and ship much later after fest.

Yeah, I had never gotten one of the posters before (just the How Aw Ya shirts) - but this year, I ordered the CS one online when they were released and am happy to wait for it . . . and avoid the hassle getting one at the fairgrounds.

cheers to that. not only do you not have to hurry up and hustle in on the first day of the fest to wait in line for posters that are super popular, but then you dont have to walk around with the damn things all day.

only drawback is that i probably wont see the posters till august again, but what can ya do?

You can always buy at fest, proceed immediately to the Postal Service booth and mail it home.
