Honestly, I believe I saw more Boston Red Sox hats than any other team, at the fest, in bars, and around town. There was an impromptu gathering of Boston fans at Liuzza's after first Saturday, fueled by a Southern Comfort promotion giving out shots, and SoCo boxer shorts.
I remember when we made our first beer stop, (at Ms. Lena's of course), as two of us approached with our Red Sox hats, the Threadhead response was loud!

Our "boys of summer" from Beantown do have a loyal following throughout the country (now the world, thanks to Dice-K!!). Often times when I watch an away game, I see many Red Sox caps and jerseys. WHOOOHOOO! GO SOX!!:D

There is no question that the Salks had far and away the most hats representin' at fest. Of course, some of us wear our music gear to Jazzfest and not our ballteam hats. We do, of course, wear our overalls to the opera.

During that awesome late 2004 season, I was in Denver, and a friend brought me to a big sports bar downtown to watch one of the early Sox-Yankee playoffs game. It was packed and every single person in there was wearing Sox attire (except for me, ironically).

You know, I mentioned that to my wife when we were there the first weekend. Told her that I didn't see any Yankee hats, and showed her just how much good taste Bosox fans have. Maybe now she'll believe me.

Yeah, I teased a NYY fan at Ms. Lena's - saying that we didn't serve Yankee fans there . . .
