The first weekend virgins cried when they left. What lucky 18 year olds! The boys had a great time but didn't hit it quite as hard as the girls! Second saturday we adventured to the west bank to old point bar to see the Campbell brothers. and yes, with me driving, it's always an adventure! At one point during the show, Pete turned to me and said I've never seen anything like this before. And later-- I think it's as good as it gets and it just keeps getting better and better.
We left the boys at the house ==they like sleep-and went to Frenchmen and hung out for a couple hours. saw several THs, went in cafe brasil and saw a smoking set by papa mali trio and ivan sat in. Then out on the street, we hung with Henry Butler and later, with Troy Andrews. Henry got a looooong hug from lis. He wouldn't let her go! Troy was trying to figure out how to get to Canada to see lis's daughter!
Thanks lis and trish, for helping make my last night in nola off the hook!

Muah baby!! What a great night it was....and what an amazing fest!! The girls were blown away but did have that November pre-lude....the boys were speechless for about 2 days and exhausted. They could NOT keep up but man could they eat lol. Pete must have spent $100 on food last Sunday, it was hilarious :) Campbell Bros. were the highlight for them.

Henry Butler was something lol....lots of huggin' and squeezin' going on there :) Every time we ran into Shorty, me and Trish and Shorty would bust out laughing and make that "I got my eye on you mister" sign. Too funny. We were doing it when he was on stage with REbirth at LMF final Monday. Shorty's a doll and he and Sam have been text messaging and emailing since she got home.....uh oh.........

What a friggin' fest...and girl, sooooooo GLAD that we spent so much time together and THANKS for the reflexology foot rub after the patry during Roux ga Roux....I love ya mah sistah!

Belle, I'm SO GLAD I got to meet you, even for that tiny bit of time. You're a total doll and I'm looking forward to seeing you again. Glad you had a blast. I'm bummed about missing Bluedog though. Man, just can't do it all huh?
