The Coffee Pot. Great Eggs Sardou.

The Coffee Pot is heavenly and the staff has been there for 20 some years. Sit outside in the patio area and enjoy some really great food.
I tried the Oyster Rockefeller Omelet this time. It was so tasty and lots of Oyster. PC is right about that plate of Eggs Sardou.....Your coffee cup never is empty either. There can be a line by 9 or so.

Petunia's, in the Quarter.
Is Poppy's on St.Peter still around? If not, the Coffee Pot is good as is Mothers. If it's an on the way home breakfast, I suggest a Lucky dog.

The Coffee Pot Restaurant is at 714 St. Peter Street right next to Pat O'Brien's. You will not be disappointed. Yum Yum The Bloody Marys are great (if you don't like pepper say so) and they add an extra shot for ya.
The wait staff is wonderful. Shirley and Miss Pearl are truly what makes New Orleans special. They will keep the coffee cup full too.

This restaurant has great breakfast and I think is very jazz fest appropriate. The tables are lined with old jazz fest maps, tickets, and stuff like that. I go there to eat a lot, it's great.

The Clover Grill(Burbon St) is a real greasy spoon but we love it. We are early risers and it's open 24/7

if not eating at the bluebird, which is of course out of the fq, id suggest eating breaky for lunch at 11am at the fairgrounds-lines are short and you can fuel up for the day-throw a couple of natchadoches meat pies in your pocket and you are set for a long day of rnr-
cool thing is you'll be hungry for dinner-
