I hope all you first weekenders havea great Fest!
I am getting excited because I only have a week before arriving in NOLA. I am ready to go and definitely will have some body in Phoenix, brain in New Orleans moments this weekend and next week at work.
At least I have the McDowell Mountain Music Festival here on Friday and Saturday. Some Tea Leaf Green, the Neville Brothers (nice NOLA connection!)and Bob Weir will help me forget I am missing first weekend for a night, but those next few days will be torture until I leave.

Lucky you, most of us will not get to see the Nevilles!!! Have fun & we will save you some beer. Think Nevilles 2008!!!

Thanks guys. This year is a "guys" trip and when I was speaking with my wife this morning about our night show plans she said "You are finally starting to sound excited for Jazzfest." I told her I have been trying to keep it out of my mind so I could get everything done I need to before the Fest. I think I have hit the point where getting things done at work has become harder.
Therefore, thank god for the small fest out here. I will be holding up a beer tomorrow afternoon during the Neville Brothers' set and toasting to all of you doing the same thing in NOLA on a grander scale.
I look forward to joining all of you next week!!!
