Ok, I still haven't heard how I can make requests and/or recommendations on new artists to appear at Jazzfest 2007, but here is yet another one who is fantastic and I would LOVE to see at Jazzfest. Some liken him to a mix between James Brown and Sam Cooke. Again, you can hear some of his music at myspace: http://www.myspace.com/jameshuntermusic
He only has one CD out right now, and it's a must-have!

He has at least three CDs available in the U.S. I became aware of him when I got a copy of his 2001 CD. Very talented, yet I still haven't gone has nuts for him as many of my friends have.

Really!? The only CD of his I've seen is "People Gonna Talk" and then the "Unplugged" CD on his website. Can you tell me the names of his others?
Thanks!

I sure will when I get home and get a chance. You can find them on Amazon.com, I think.

Don't tell my bosses, but I went around the internet and got the info. I have a copy of 'Kick It Around' from 2001. He also released a CD in 1996 which has been re-released (I think it's a European release) called '...Believe What I Say'. And you know about 'People Gonna Talk' from this year. That's the scoop.

Yesterday in a TINY little bar in New York (up the River from NYC in Piermont, a place called the Turning Point), James tore it up again--he's a remarkable performer. Derrick (sp), the sax player from the Iguanas was up there with him.
He definitely belongs at the fest this year!!!
I think he would be great at the Rock n' Bowl.
