View Full Version : Festaid, Music Rising, etc.
We all want to do something good! So, would anyone know if the powers that be would allow tabling for the ONE campaign (www.one.org) at Jazz Fest? OR, how to contact the "powers that be" to ask? :) I'd love to spend a few days raising awareness and inspiring others in my community! (As long as I get to see the Rod Stewart performance, and take in some crawfish Monica, the rest of my time is free! LOL!)

Might be late to try and do it this year, but a little research on the site should get you to somebody who can help. They're a little busy right now, I would guess.

How about calling and asking if you can set up at liuzzas before and after fest? Or flyering peeps like we do for shows and other fests? Or putting flyers out at LMF?

Ahhh...Liuzza's! Never thought of that. My daughter worked there (until Katrina), while attending school, and still helps out on occasion. Maybe she would put in a good word for me! :)

From the lack of other charitable organizations set up inside Fest, I'd assume the cost is prohibitive.
Many seem to set up on Fortin Street, between Lopez and Sauvage Streets, just outside the gate. Lots of Fest-bound foot traffic there in the mornings, and it seems to be a free-for-all, no permit required.
