Is there any way to purchase tickets without paying a service fee? If not, what is the least expensive way to get tix for Jazzfest?
thanks!

There's always going to be some sort of fee, unless you buy at the gate at the higher day-of price.

You can see the ways to avoid Ticketmaster listed at http://jazzfest.swagland.com/tickets.html

The cheapest way to buy just fest tickets is probably to pay cash, in person at the Arena box office, before February 29.

If you plan to ride the Grey Line shuttle bus, you can buy your fest tickets at the same time, fee free.

Thanks..I will check out the link. I probably misread the ticket information post: I thought there was a fee for paying cash.

With all the fees charged, don't know if there is that big a difference paying for ticket day of concert or in advance.

Sorry if I was unclear, there is. The fee at the box office is $4/ticket if you pay cash; if you pay with credit card, it's more (maybe closer to $6?).

If you can buy before the March 1 price increase, you'd pay $45+4 = $49 cash at the box office. Even via Ticketmaster, it's probably about $55 before 3/01. At the gate, it's $65 (no fee), cash or charge.

Do they take plastic at the gate?

Yes, no extra cost.
