Congratulations on the raffle and the patry and the money raised for charity. I can't believe how this has evolved over the past three years. A truly wonderful group of people contributing to a truly worthwhile cause. Job well done all of you. I can't help but think it makes for a much more rewarding Jazzfest to know that positive contributions have been made in addition to the obvious contribution to the local economy that an inspired group of alchoholics can make to a city that prides itself on patrying.....:>) Oops. did I say that. Me bad. Oh hell, I toast all of you.

Hope everyone has a wonderful and safe trip and has one hell of a memorable time. God Bless.

S'okay Az, it's completely true and I think it's great too, that folks that love drinking and patrying also love doing good! Mmmmm, we just love all kinds of highs I think, and this sure is one :) :)

Methinks you are correct cause I am high just on all the vibes I have seen circulating in the past few days here. Truly is a wonderful thing.

Thank you, AZ, for the benediction. Of course, you are kind of the spiritual father of all of this.

I raise my glass to Amy & Jeff for coordinating the raffle.

To those who put the patry & RGR together... my hat is off to all y'all.

Everyone who donated items or bid on them...you're part of a group of very special people.

Safe travels to everyone.
Let the good time roll.

And every single person who read about it on the board, posted, cared, passed it on to friends, whether you were able to buy 100 tix or 0, you're part of the team, it is this thing that is called "threadheads" that makes something like this WORK!

My sincerest thanks to EVERYONE!

Heartfelt thanks to everyone that bought tickets and/or donated prizes. In the end we are just a conduit between the donors and the buyers and the work is so far outweighed by the end results that I wouldn't bat an eye if we had the chance to do it all again tomorrow!! but we've still gotta get everything ready for the drawing!! hehe

Also huge thanks to Swag, Carolinabeadhead, and Ohio for making the web based portion of this all happen. Amy and I were just conversing the other day about how amazing it is that this kind of thing can be done and it's all a result of the advent of the internet and the Threadheads being fortunate to have some brilliant tech support behind all the inspriation and motivaiton. Thanks guys!!

Amy and I are toasting the last few hours of the raffle with a nice bottle of Cabernet from 1992!! hehe. Seems fitting huh AZ?

and to think Az....it all started with a wee little Commanders thread on the old board.....for those of you that don't know...the patry... was born of Az' efforts to coordinate a T-head dinner at Commanders Palace....since there were so many peeps that wanted to go....our little patry was born...last year Amy and Jeff began coordinating the raffle in conjunction with the patry ...and here we are :) Congrats to everyone!!!

To paraphrase:

You know, if one person, just one person does it they may think he's really different And if two people, two people do it, in harmony, they may think they're both having too much fun. And three people do it, three, can you imagine, they may think it's an organization. And can you, can you imagine fifty, I said fifty people, friends they may thinks it's a movement.

I think perhaps, you're past the orginization level. Congratulations to all, and I'm sure glad we discovered this board.

I like that Chas....we threadheads are definitely a 'movement' and I'm so proud of all of us :)

BIG thanks to everyone who works on Threahead stuff all year round - the patry, the t-shirts, the raffle, the website, the grids, etc. etc. You are all an inspiration to the rest of us. You do so much work without looking for thanks or reward. You are SO appreciated!

Cheers to you!!!

It really amazes me that Az started a thread for a get together at Fest turned into the Patry & then the raffle that Amy & Jeff started last year. Thanks to each & everyone of my Threadhead family members. When I post your birthdays it makes me smile & I celebrate your special day. To Amy & Jeff thank you for doing the raffle. Thanks to Bryan, Mark & Susan for helping out with the website. Thanks to all the people that got some wonderful prizes donated & thank you all that have donated to the raffle. With our donations to this raffle, we are giving back to the musicians that have given to us for years. I very proud of THE Threadheads. Threadhead are such a special bunch & I am very pleased to know each and everyone of you. See yall soon.
