Just Friday and Saturday for me. Then Sunday Dr. Wagner's Honey Island Swamp Tour...very early flight home Monday morning. Someday, prolly when I'm retired, I'll do the whole shebang.

The good news is that I work for a company that allows alternating Fridays off (most of the time). But contiguous time off is a another thing...the paid time off bucket isn't huge. Not that NOLA isn't worth blowing the entire thing in one fell swoop, but that leaves me with no buffer for sick days or anything else the rest of the year. However, I plan to make at least one more trip to NOLA this year. Too bad you all won't be there : (

Although like the last few years it was a close call, I will be there (without my dear E) from Thursday evening until early the next Thursday. As much as I wanted to do the whole fest again, I just couldn't come up with the dinero. I'm staying to make the Patry and the Stomp, and it'll be great to see everybody soon.

To make it she would have had to travel there on Saturday and home on Sunday, as she has to work early Monday. Not much of a trip.

I have bought that girl about ten pairs of sunglasses since then. If she doesn't lose them, she breaks them.

I'm a first weekender. Friday am 'till Monday afternoon. At least this time I had the good sense to book a flight home in the afternoon. Last year I booked a 6:30 am flight home and basically showed up at the airport from the Rock 'n Bowl and prayed I didn't pass out in the airport lounge. Doing both weekends sounds like heaven, I will have to put that on my things to do before I die list.
