Gumbohead really is like a pot of gumbo. They play zydeco, blues, funk, lots of styles of new orleans music. It blew me away last year when they ripped into a galactic tune!

Oh, y'all are too kind.
We know there's a boatload of stuff going on Monday night, so we're not expecting a huge turnout. But if anybody gets a chance to drop by Cafe Brasil and say hello, we'd sure appreciate it.
For those who haven't heard us since last year's Patry, lots of new tunes -- some more Anders, Iguanas, Clifton, Buckwheat, Meters and Subdudes, just to mention a few -- along with a bunch of original tunes hot off our latest CD (plus one a certain rock band's lawyers wouldn't let us include on the disc).
It'll be great to see old friends and make new ones. We can't wait!!!

Let's talk about that -- we've mused about an East Coast-ish trip for a few years, just haven't put much initiative into it. But Andy (bass player) is from PA, we have friends in NYC (and now in Boston!) so it might happen one of these days. Booking festivals is the key thing -- good money, not a lot of gear-hauling -- so if you have any connections in that area, let us know. Look forward to chatting at the Patry!

Definitely check these guys out if you can! How long does IAC go? Could we end the night at Cafe Brasil?
You guys could come to the West Coast sometime :)

AND lining up gigs for us like Cafe Brasil.
It's funny how Andy's just one of those people you "run into." Before the band started, he and I worked together at an ad agency. He'd go to Fest with his friends, and I'd go with my friends, rarely exchanging our plans for who we wanted to see -- but it was amazing how many times we'd stumble across one another. Even in a crowd of 40,000 people at the Acura Stage, I'd hear someone saying, "Excuse me," trying to weave their way through the masses to hit the beer stand, I'd look up, and it would be Andy directly in front of me.
Guess maybe we were destined to be in a band together...:-)
