I wish.
The good news is that they are all recorded. I haven't seen any of them released, nor seen plans to do so, but they are housed at the Jazz and Heritage Foundation Archive in the Quarter. I'm not sure how restrictive they are about allowing access, but if there are specific ones you want to hear/see, I'd give them a call to ask the next time you're heading down.
The Collection:
The Archive is the repository of materials and information from the Foundation’s various programs and activities — including Jazz Fest. These materials are made available for scholarly and other types of research.
A large portion of the collection consists of recordings from Jazz Fest — from the Allison Miner Music Heritage Stage, as well as the African, Folk and Food Heritage stages. These sessions provide exclusive information relating to Louisiana’s culture and its impact on the world.
The Archive also houses a vast inventory of photos, posters, film footage, audio tapes, signs, business records and other artifacts from events dating to the beginning of the Foundation.
The Archive at Jazz Fest:
The Archive actively uses Jazz Fest to develop new content by producing high-quality recordings of the interviews with artists at the Alison Miner Music Heritage Stage. These oral histories provide first–hand documentation of the artistry that comprises Louisiana culture — and they’re fun.

Has anybody here actually done this? I'd love to know if it can be done.

remember, vaguely, when allison miner was a small stage, 1996? during the first reconstruction?,no pun intended,of the grandstand, they had 2 grand pianos facing next to each other mac on one side allen on the other, they just riffed and talked on st james and his beautiful freaky weirdness for about an hour. id like to say it was memorable but id remember more of it by definition then right? would sure love to hear a tape of that one. pretty sure i saw someone shooting small video format, mini dv, 8mm etc.
hoping it wasnt all really about fess, pretty sure it was booker.im thinking the years and weeds are making the multi-piano format blend in with memories of the late great stevenson palfy film, piano players really ever play together......
and the documentary about allison miner think its maybe called songbird?, is a must see in itself.

I was there for that interview. What I remember was it was packed and it was hard for me to hear. I would love to hear it (again).
