Does anybody who is planning on attending the jazz funeral for Ed Bradley know where it will be starting?

First Friday at 1:00 p.m.

If you look at the bottom of the Friday cubes, you will see it there.

Also near Ms. Lena's Cold, Cold Beer tent! :D

Parades start on the sidewalk just to the right of jazz and heritage if you're looking at the stage. They take a right and pass right in front of ms lenas beer tent.

Thank you. It seems in my two years of Festing, I've been able to completely miss all the parades.

And no more talk of the weather on this thread please. The snow blasting me in the face as I walked the dog this morning was enough weather for me.

OMG -really? That's so weird - but not impossible. I think you might really like them - they're not a mardi gras parade - so don't be thinkin' that big - but they are just so damned cool. Take the time to look at the foot work and signals that the guys and gals send each other in the parade for movement etc. as well as the work that goes into some of the costumes - the whole thing is a work of art unto itself.

Oh, the first year, I noted a couple of them and we'd walk around looking for them. Just never knew where they started. Last year, we were more glued to certain tents/stages and didnt get around as much. This year I'm PLANNING on catching it so I don't miss seeing one again.

you know what - that makes sense.....it takes a couple of years to get yourself to move on the fairgrounds. It is overwhelming to think about how much stuff is taking place concurrently that it is entirely possible to plop in one place and have the most amazing music experience. Not that I recommend that - but I'm saying if someone doesn't want to or can't move around a lot - they are still going to have a great time.

between the music, the food, the people and the art - it is just too much - but really, is there ever too much of a really good thing? LOL. not when it comes to Fest !

Right, it was one of a hundred of things that would have been neat to see but there was always something else so it wasn't a priority. But, now that I've missed them for two years, it is more of one. Plus, the fact it is a Jazz Funeral and one for Ed Bradley made me seek it out even more than it being an Indian or Brass Band Parade.
