That would be the French Market Restaurant & Bar or French Quarter Restaurant & Bar...they were serving them as recent as Mardi Gras.
Speaking of ....we've got 2 big ole sacks to boil for Easter Sunday...and now they're talking sleet??
How about Acme?

Frankie & Johnnies on Arabella uptown, King Roger's on Rampart is open & boiling bugs, if you want to get a plate to go. Deanies in Bucktown has boiled crawfish as does the Desire Oyster Bar on Bourbon.

If you are in that area of the quarter, stop by Yo Mamma's on the weekends. They are boiling Fri-Sat and Sun three batches a day and they are awesome! I've been going there on the weekends and they are better each time.
You get a great serving for $6!!!

727 St Peter. Across from the entrance to Pat O's. It's kinda biker bar, but it's cool. And the largest selection of Tequila in town!
I was bragging about their burgers way back when. Their burgers are GREAT!

The Desire is in the 300 blk of Bourbon in the Royal Sonesta. It's nice and reasonably priced and good food the few times I've eaten there. I actually called them this afternoon to see how their crawfish are running. :)

JAG, I'm wondering if that is the same place that used to be the Fatted Calf, way way back when? Best burger I ever had. I need to check it out.

Johnny White's is the only local establishment that did not close their doors during katrina and her aftermath.

What's the name for the takeout place up in the Garden District? The Big Fisherman, maybe? That has always been our place of choice for bugs.

Big Fisherman on MAgazine, across from the A&P, you can get an order to go, cross MAgazine to the BUlldog, order one of the million beers on tap, sit outside and feast.

oh yeah! I can eat anything else, that's what makes me crazy. I have no idea what causes it but because I love oysters so much I've tempted fate about 8 times in the last 6-7 years....with the same results...incapacitating stomach pain that lasts for hours and hours....no vomiting or anything like that....just pain. Can't move and just cry. Last time I tried it was 2 years ago when we had the Threadhead night at Acme....lost the whole night after that and Amy Winette was doing a kick-ass karaoke at Cat's Meow...I had to leave :(
Soooo.....I just can't do it anymore. Man I love them...sigh....

King Roger's on Rampart is open & boiling bugs.
That's the best news I've heard all day!
The R Bar (on Royal/Kerlerec in the Mrigny) used to do a crawfish boil once a week (not sure what day).
There's also a little dive-y grocery store in the Quarter, on Royal at St. Ann, that often has boiled bugs.

Wow, you must really love oysters to suffer through that 8 times! Same result for raw or cooked?
No way does this compare to your level of discomfort, but my food allergy story: My Mom is allergic to mangoes; for maybe 35 years I avoided them. Then one day I was over at my Grandma's and there was a couple of mangoes from her tree in the kitchen. I touched one to the soft skin inside my elbow and observed it for a couple of days--nothing. So I tried my first fresh mango--heavenly! And no side affects. So then one day I pigged out on 3 of them; sliced as much as I could off of each side of the big pit, then leaned over the sink and hoovered the flesh out of the skin. And learned my lesson--I'm not allergic to mango flesh, I'm allergic to mango skin (and sap). My face and lips puffed up like I'd been in a boxing match. So now I cut them carefully and handle them in the store with a plastic produce bag around my hand like a glove.
