Now that we're in the final throes of pre-Fest preparation frenzy, it was felt that a new tavern/gathering place needed to be opened and in the spirit of all that is Threadhead and Jazzfest - we'd like to present to you:
Bar none . . .
To celebrate and spread the love of Freestyledesign and all that is Jazzfest - we want to create a place for not only the Threadhead Nation, but for all those who march to the beat of a different drummer (or bassist).
Enter and enjoy!!!

Hey, I really like this new place.
It's a little early for me, and I've never had a clamato, but I think I'd like one now.
How do you get juice from a clam BTW? Put the little suckers in a blender?

Nothing that ugly --- it is just the strained juice from when they are shucked.
Of course, here in Canada where we drink these things, we don't think about that -- we just buy the clamato juice where the dirty work has already been done for us.

Clamato is a popular mixer for mass-market American and Canadian beer. It is also used as a base for the alcoholic Bloody Caesar, a vodka cocktail invented in 1969 when bartender Walter Chell was challenged to create a new cocktail to celebrate the opening of Marco's, the new restaurant at the Westin Hotel in Calgary, Alberta. The Bloody Caesar is commonly regarded as the national cocktail of Canada. [2] While the original Caesar, invented the year Duffy-Mott introduced Clamato, was made with tomato juice and mashed clams, Clamato (properly referred to as "Mott's Clamato" in Canada) is now the common base for the drink. The Caesar has become so popular that Mott's now markets multiple varieties of pre-mixed Caesars in 341 ml (12-ounce) bottles. The Bloody Caesar is Canada's most popular cocktail, with over 250 million selling every year[3]. 82% of the Caesar-drinking households in Canada use Mott's Clamato as the base.

Actually, I went off the diet tonight. I got invited to this all black wedding (there was one white guy there and he was one of the groomsmen!) and we had a blast. They had this kid playing a sax at the ceremony and it was soooo nice. The reception was fun and of course, the food was kicking. It was fun seeing all the guys in their pimp daddy suits and watching them dance. Chicklet was out on the dance floor with the other kids. Even the little flower girls had french pedicures. The bride and groom had an hour left on the Navigator limo so the mother of the bride asked me and another friend of ours to go riding in the limo with her as she's never been in one before. lol, you should have seen us riding down McFarland to go buy some more cabernet.

PC, if the weather in alabama is anything like it has been in NOLa today and yesterday, i can completely understand why she was having none of the easter egg hunt, its too damn cold -
it was so cold yesterday, that after the Crescent City Classic, we packed up our corporate tent BEFORE the Radiators started to play at teh post racefest and headed over to cooter browns for abita beer, oysters, blue cheese burgers and pool - it was just toooo cold outside - later in the afternoon it started to sleet....just wrong, i'm kinda sitting here waiting for the swarm of locusts to arrive.....

Me and the EB are tight. He knows I'm kidding and I'll cherish my butter.
Any talk of EB and all I can think of Bugs Bunny and the cartoon where he gets duped in the subbing for the Easter Rabbit and is given his instructions to hand out the eggs and be happy. He gets terrorized for the entire cartoon and by the end he's stalking down the street with his Easter basket, scowl on his face practically spitting out the lyrics of his Easter Song in his Brooklyn accent....

TWO MEATS!!! NICE!
Yes, sorry that was meant towards you RT! So tell me what the okra was smothered in? I need to make something other than GREEN BEANS for gods sake and I have some "frozen" okra in the freezer. Rarely see any fresh okra up here!
I'm not really sure....Grandma brought it over...I know that she cooked down some onions, I didn't really ask, just ate 'em :D I do know that they were $3.99/pound...MIL likes to talk...
The two meat thing is funny because one of the Rosebuds declared himself a vegematerian last week...

Tangie:
We did talk about just cooking down some onions and adding the okra and some Rotel tomatoes...quick and easy......
I also got a recipe for ya....just google smothered okra!
Ingredients:
2 qt. fresh sliced okra
1/4 cup vegetable oil
1 cup chopped onion
1 cup chopped celery
1/2 cup chopped bell pepper
1/4 cup diced garlic
3 cups diced tomatoes
1/2 cup hot water
Salt and cracked black pepper
1 dash red hot-pepper sauce
Directions:
Heat oil in a 4-quart saucepan over medium-high heat. Sauté okra, onion, celery, bell pepper and garlic approximately 30 minutes or until okra stops stringing. Okra will become slimy during this process and should be stirred constantly until stringing ceases. Add tomatoes and hot water; bring to a low boil and cook approximately 1 hour, stirring occasionally. Season with salt, pepper and pepper sauce.

Bugs' parting shot: "And remember, Doc, keep smiling!"
Me too, Scoopy - I used to sit with my Granddad in his recliner on weekend mornings and watch classic Looney Tunes with Bugs Bunny beng our favoritest . . . and they've gone a long way to making me what I am today and I'll always love the hell out of them!

YYR...I've never seen the show you're dissing...have seen that one on TBS when I was really determined to waste some time in front of the tube...but all their stuff was in the few dollars range...you been dropping some real big bucks on the show you're watching. Depressing to me....just something else I can't afford!
I'm not dropping anything. It's a just show that goes to various cities and people bring stuff they had in their family or like I said bought at a flea market for a quarter and get them appraised. It's a hoot.

Sure! ..whoopsie...oh, NO...now it's worthless because I just accidentally smashed it with a hammer that once belonged to my uncle.:( But it turns out that the hammer was originally owned by Noah and it may have been used to construct the Ark. It's worth about fourteen bazillion dollahs!
So, we can still keep dinkin', I guess.
