housing during fest

Hello all,

I am considering taking a staff position with the festival, but they are unable to provide housing (I live in NYC). Is there anyone out there who is willing to provide cheap (Free?) housing for a hard-working girl from NY, who will mainly only be around to shower and sleep? I might be able to find a place with a friend of a friend during the week between- about an hour out of town, but will need to be in town during the weekends.

Hi E,
A lot of women working the fest in the construction crew (Alligator Crew) actually sleep at the fairgrounds above the stables where the jockeys stay! It is not glamorous, a lot like camping, but they are outdoorsy types who don't mind it. What job would you be doing? You might ask about this option if you are stuck or don't mind this type of accomodation.
