I have so many questions!
1) Is there any parking at or near the festival for a price? I'll pay if I don't have to walk and I know my car is safe.
2) Is pepper spray allowed inside the festival? If I'm parked far, I'll be walking around NOLA by myself and would like to be protected.

3) Would it be best to park somewhere and take the shuttle? Like this (http://www.graylineneworleans.com/jazzfest.html) deal?

4) I'm seriously getting so irritated with the lack of information that I might sell my ticket and forget the whole thing. Where would be the best place to get rid of an unwanted ticket? Craigslist? Other?

5) Can someone give me directions to the fairgrounds from BR? I mean I know 1-10, ect, I just need to know what exit, and directions from there. Or an approximate address that I can GPS to.

6) Why are directions and parking info not included in the official Jazz Fest info page?!

7) Are any type of still cameras allowed? Is there any rule prohibiting zoom lenses or professional type cameras that are not video cameras?

Any help you can give me would completely make my day. Thank you!

Except for VIP and handicapped, there is no on site parking. For secure nearby parking, best bet is probably Cabrini High School on Esplanade. It's just a few blocks from fest, and spots can be reserved.

Stay on I-10 at the 610 split, then first exit and left onto City Park Ave. Veer slightly left at the bayou, then first right onto Esplanade, crossing over the bayou. Cabrini will be about 2 blocks on your right.

If you're by yourself, the City Park lot & shuttle you found will be cheaper.

You won't need pepper spray walking from Cabrini, there will be a ton of folks on the street.

Cameras, including professional, are allowed (except in the Grand Marshal VIP area).

Calm down!
There is parking at the fest or up the street at peoples houses or churches in the area.
Pepper spray is a little overboard.
Go to swagland & all the info you will need will be there.
DON'T sell you're ticket & miss out on all the great music & food. This is a life-changing event, like a Grateful Dead show, but with many more stages & performers.:)

It's going to be wonderful! IF you love live music, esp nola and la music, you are going to feel like you are coming home! I went to my first ever fest 14 fests ago because folks on the bored that preceded this one said come on. it'll be great. we'll make sure it's all good! And it was. So come on! Check out this board some more and you'll see we have meetups every day at fest where dozens of likeminded folks from around the world say hey to each other!
And if you feel safer with pepper spray in your bag, bring it along, darlin.

Agreed with all the info above. Any help you need or answers to questions, you can easily find here, or have answered here. Lots of kind folks willing to help you make this musical magical journey happen. Whatever you do, don't sell your tickets because you're feeling a little anxious about it all right now. I'm doing this year's trip solo too, but I am completely confident it will be just as good if not better than other years because of all the new friends I'm about to make! So breath easy, relax, and enjoy what is sure to be, as mentioned above, a life changing experience.
