Brian Stoltz was the regular with the Funky Meters for the last dozen years. I thought Ian has taken his place as of late. Where did you hear this? OH< saw this on HOB's site. It is possible they are both playing.
Leo played with the Funky Meters only their first couple of years in the early 90's.

Chris, thanks for the info. With DT playing this will be added to my must see list. So, DT for two hours at JF and later that night at HOB. Life is great!

Question:
I don't have a clue about HOB tickets. Should I be able to buy tickets 10 days before this show?

Hey Now, from what I can tell Ian Nevile will be the permenant replacement for Brian Stoltz, Derek is a special guest for the HOB show. While Derek Trucks is always good, and Ian is a really nice kid, and a up and comming young guitar player, Brian Stoltz will be sorely missed in the Funky Meters. Stoltz is one of the worlds finest "unknown" musicians, and as much as I love Art Neville, George Porter, and Russell Batiste, I cant help but feel dissapointed in not having Brian Stoltz remain.

I AM RIGHT WITH YOU MM.
I just listened to the Funky Meters show from Colorado and it is GREAT. Ian does really well with them. Skerik played the whole show and what an added bonus to a great show!!
I bought my tic's for the HOB's show a couple of weeks ago. Not sure about waiting 10 days before the show now that Trucks has been added.... I would try to purchase earlier.
