I've only used Priceline a few times, both in which only one bed was needed. My question is... if I use it to purchase a hotel for the 2nd weekend for my buddy and I, how likely is it that we'll get a room with two beds? I realize that it all depends on the hotel, but was curious as to what others experiences have been.

It varies. The general process is, once your bid is accepted, you can call the hotel and make a request. Most of the time, the hotels are happy to give you what you need, if they can, but it's based on availability, and during Jazzfest, many hotels may be full. If all the two-bed rooms are booked by guests who specifically reserved that room type, the the PL customer will end up in a one bed room.

It may also help to get to the hotel early early in the day if you can, and if all else fails, sometimes a small gratuity to the front desk clerk (perhaps a Jackson) may get you what you need.
