Katrina strikes again ......

Tulane's Stadium was supposed to be ready this month. It is not and they are once again sharing the Zephyrs Stadium so Wednesday's game is now at 7:00P. :(

Tuesday's game is an 11:30A start. We will be travelling that day but I will be more than happy to arrange for the rest of you.

Thursday night's game is $1 Beer and a band after the game - Pig Pen & the Pork Chops.

I am sooooooo disappointed.

Trust me, I was quite pouty on the phone. Derek (our Zephyrs rep) didn't sound too thrilled himself.

The only chuckle I got was the web site of Pig Pen & the Pork Chops - http://www.pigpenandtheporkchops.com/

i bet they play Mustang Sally & Sweet Home Chicago.
actually i think they would be very fun.

but i was thinking R&B for Zydeco (Keith Franks & Geno Delafose) - we're skipping zydeco night 1st thursday for the Little Feat, etc thing at Howlin Wolf.

I (wish I) could stay another day and go on Monday the 7th.

poor Derek was probably planning on going to Ingrid's on wednesday night.

i'm a maybe on the thursday game. i need to check the r&b schedule to see who i'll miss (Keith or Geno). but we could grab the airline bus from the ballpark to R&B. if Luvdancin doesnt go to the game with us, she'll be there with the car. if its $1 beers - i won't be drivin!
i'll assume you like zydeco. we could run you home later.

i don't think we'll get a group for a night game.

Wow, I just looked at thier roster and they have Aaron Sele on thier roster...I remember that kid when he was a phenom for the Red Sox, thought he was pumping gas or working in a convenience store by now (not that there is anything wrong with those jobs, did them both myself).

We have tickets to Marcia at the Parish on Thursday nite, on account of we were gonna miss her at the park... and I'm hoping karaokefest will give us a laugh later that night... our last night. ;) Looks like another year before I get to my first game!

Does anyone have any more information on the show that's goingto be in Lafayette park on Thursday afternoon? I think it was supposed to start at 4:00? I wonder who's playing and how later it's gonna go. That might impact our plans to go to the game on Thursday night. Pig Pen and the Pork Chops do look like fun.

somebody's already selling shirts with the number .093 on the back. its a great country we live - free enterprise.

the big scandal here is cops confiscating playoff tickets from scalpers - then using them. its gonna get ugly.

Hey Ozzie, what's kareokefest?

Think Amy Winnette and some of her fellow warblers are planning on hitting a karaoke bar in the Quarter. Kat's Whiskers? Bugger, my brain's not working and it's only lunchtime!

Not only have I never been to a baseball game, but the wonders of karaoke are also something I've yet to discover. Sigh, such a sheltered life I've had!

for baseball we don't have cheerleaders - other than mascots and their overdeveloped handlers.
we have spectators - the crowd - that do the cheering & booing. (Cardinal fans do not boo ;) )
