How hard is it to get a parking spot on the festival grounds. I went to Jazzfest last in 05' and we parked in someones yard. How early would you have to arrive to park onsite? Thanks for any help with this one guys. I am super excited about Jazzfest, the Allman Bros!

Not sure what time you need to get there to park at the Fair Grounds. With the increased price, it might have reduced the number of people willing to pay $35. I have notice less people waiting in line at 10AM last year. YYR!!! The Allman Brothers Band.... #1 on my list to see. See up front at Sprint 2nd Sat.

Hey Bobbi welcome to the boreds. I don't know if there is parking at Fest unless you have a parking pass (might be wrong,wouldn't be the first time) but I do think there is space to be had in someone's yard or Marconi Meadows(I think it is called) and there is a shuttle bus. Sorry to be a wealth of half-ass information.

i'm not sure how many slots they now reserve for the VIP Package.
but a lot were lost to the tents long ago.
many years back we used to park inside, usually got there around 10 am, party in line. i would assume that's still early enough - its very pricey to park inside these days - lots of folks have moved out to the yards.

There is parking on the grounds, but it is limited, costs $35 and you have to wait in line, in your car for 1-3hours while the rest of us are drinking bloody marys at Liuzza's. The only advantage is the ability to bring stuff back to your car during the day.

Mostly true, Jen! But, you don't have to sit in your car all that time (ya just better be in it when the gate opens). There's a pretty good tailgate party going on and the drinks are flowing from the trunks of cars and the backs of trucks! Depending on what stage you hang around most of the time helps determine whether you go inside to be closer or if it's better to park in someone's yard. The cost of parking and drinking from your own stash in line or parking in a yard and paying for drinks at Liuzza's is about the same.
BTW, I LOVE that flag you're holding in your picture! LOL!

I still have a dozen or more flags left. There will be two in the raffle. And yes, the Dive Flag will be flying along with the T'Head Flag. Big Will has been sharing the flagpole at Acura with us and the Grassy Knoll Krewe shares the barrel.
I promise I'm gonna make some time to drop in every day to catch up with y'all! It's just been so wild lately and I've been playing around as much as possible!
I still have dial-up, so this new format is GREAT! I've been missing y'all!
