We've got reservations at one of those skanky parks on Chef Hwy (there are no good RV parks in NO area since Katrina) and would love to hook up for a beer or two with anyone else doing the same. We'll be there for both weekends.

the rv parks along chef were always a mixture of good & not so good.
not sure you should use ther term 'hook up' in that part of town - you might confuse the professional girls.

Actually,, Bruce, there is one behind the old Winn Dixie on Basin St, a block or two from the Quarter, Kjinmartini had a thread about it, I believe...

I stand corrected. The FQ Park gets pretty good reviews, though like the Chef parks, it's not in the safest area. Their rates, however, are pretty outrageously high. Since we just need a parking space and don't care about pools or the facility showers, the skanky park works fine and it is only about 5 freeway minutes from the festival.

back in the mid 90's we all tent camped out there. it was great fun, and the lcoation was convenient. but they started charging so much per person we could put 4 of us in a room for that amount - and so we did.
pre-k, some of stl folks still camped out that way. last year they moved to 'otels.
