I'm a minimum 1 but could be a 2, 3 or even a 4. Are we getting tickets on our own but from a block they will hold for us, or how is it going to work?

Thanks Festivalgirl for pulling this all together!

from aprevious thread, i beleive the answer is yes, there will be a block reserved and we purchase that day.

festivalgirl needs to give them a reasonable number to hold in that block. we need a minumum of 20 to get the group thing. but we wouldnt want to say hold 50, if we are only expecting 25.

i may have a few more from our krewe also, and then there is a chicago krewe that is not represented on the bored. i'll check with them, too.
i'll try to get some reliable numbers.

No Problem!! We have to commit to 20 - which we pretty much have. We can increase the number up to a week in advance. Let's use Sunday 4/22 - Earth Day - as last call (sorry for that ugly terminology) so I can give them the "final" number Monday 4/23. At that time, we can determine if we should add a few extra.

I'm going to call in tomorrow AM and set-up for the 20 and we'll go forward from there! :D

i'm going on the honor system. if that doesn't work, we'll make up the difference. at 8.50 a ticket, it shouldn't be too bad. who knows, maybe we'll pickup some cool baseball fans along the way.

The best way is to take the ferry to Algiers. We are 8 blocks from the landing.
You can go to my site www.rosetreegallery.com and go to the visit us page for directions.....hope to see you there!!!!

Gumbo - Can Take 3-4 ppl.

Need Rides:

we will be heading to the game from metairie after an airport run.
not sure if it will be 2 or 4 of us, 1 or 2 cars.
we (the 2) plan to go to Ingrids after a brief stop at the motel to change, grab some wine, etc. but if we have room in the car, and you don't mind a detour, you can ride with us to Ingrids - or be dropped at destinations in-between - or maybe even get a freshen up stop of your own,

I need a ride to the game, pickup at the St. Pierre. After the game I can take care of my own transport to Rosy's, once I get back to my hotel, as I love taking the ferry with my bike As for Ingrid's, I'll just have to see.

Doesn't Ingrids start at 5 or 6? I am not sure if I can designate myself as a driver after Ingrids LOL I was thinking about stashing the car after Ingrids and cabbing/streetcar from the 1/4.
I will be up early for sure as I have to cart Priestboy's azz to the aeropuerto at zero dark thirty-morning paper, coffee and beignets at dumonde after that. Then RTs, and the ballgame and Ingrids and a caffiene IV the next day LOL

i hate wishy-washy people, but i have no idea what others in the krewe st loo
are doing - and they aren't aware of this option for wednesday. there are 8 of us and 4 cars for the days tween. i think 4 will pass, but you never know.

if it was needed i'm sure Jan would come get people and take them to the game even if she wasnt going. she is that nice (actually from Michigan, not MO). but her & nancy may want to go to the game & go to rosetree's after. i will try to find out their plans.

i have to drop the BF at the airport - his flight is 11:50, and he will fight me to arrive as late as possible. so it doesnt leave me time to swoop into the 1/4. i would like to be at the ball park early. $1 hot dogs!!

Count us in!(for 2 people) We want to go to a Zephyr's game, and it would be so much fun to go with y'all. (Dave is a big Mets Fan, treat him nice.) We would need a ride from the quarter straight to the game.

We will pass on Rosetree's party (much as we would like to go) but it's going to be a long day. We have tickets to the Ponderosa Stomp, and hope to catch some of Marcia in the park. So if any driver is going back to the quarter after the game, we'd like to hitch a ride back with them as well.

Too much going on! FOMS on the non-fest days!

not being from LA-CA, i will stay for extra innings.

but if we have enough cars, it gives us the opportunity to have cocktails somewhere else on the way to the 1/4. Rivershack - cheap beers, large selection - nice wine too. or something in the garden district along st.charles or magazine. that can be decide day of - just something to think about.

Gumbo if ya want you could leave your car at our Quarter hotle. We have parking included but no car. Not sure what we'll do between the ball game, rosetreefest, spruce-up + nap, pre-ingrid drinks, Ingrids and the stomp... but doesn't matter what we get up to, you can use the park if it helps. I haven't actually checked with them, but I presume if we can park there then our space could be used for a mate.

Damn that's hard-core for a minor league game! Don't get me wrong, I've stayed 18 innings in Houston and 16 in Yankee Stadium (the 2 a.m. subway ride to Manhattan was, umm, interesting) but 9 will do me just fine in Metry (unless we are seeing some sort of history-in-the-making like a guy going for his 8th HR of the day or something!).

I am planning to depart for the game from Rosetree's around 10:45-ish and can bring folks back to the Quarter or other locales between the ballpark and downtown...without TV timeouts etc. I would think about 2 1/2 hours is average for 9 innings.

That is soooo nice, OZ, thanks. I think I should be fine with my hotle...I know they have some room plus I have a couple of various (legal) stash points around the 1/4. Y'all going to the game?

That is soooo nice, OZ, thanks. I think I should be fine with my hotle...I know they have some room plus I have a couple of various (legal) stash points around the 1/4. Y'all going to the game?

Sorry, I (mis)read your post as you staying outside the Quarter. Not so nice really, just that your bro's got you know who's ear and I gotta cover all my bases! :D

Yep, looking forward to the game.

Hey. Was off the grid last night - wine and burger night at one of our favorite eateries! 2 of us, 2 burgers, 2 bottles of wine ...........

Anyway, we're going to catch Marcia in the Park since we don't have her on our weekend. 3hr 'twwen Zephs & the Park smells like cocktails to me!!
