T-head - male, non-nicotine user, over 21, not a serial killer - seeking same to share a room 5/3-5/7. Is anyone out there seeking a share?
I've not posted much recently, but I joined the board in late '05 (I think), and met some of you at last year's JF.
Respond here, or contact me offline - philipboothATtampabayDOTrrDOTcom

so you won't take the last bowl and put the empty box back on the shelf?
sounds like good roommate material.

yep, that's me. Thanks for the welcome back.
I've been lurking on the "new" board but not participating much.
I hate that "junior member" designation -- starting over at zero after all those posts on the old board. oh, well.

Do they still have those little boxes? I was thinking about getting one of those variety packs for my grandkids just the other day. In the school cafeteria, it's now a plastic bowl with a peel off cover.

Quite funny! Gotta love the drift thought. Barb, the empty box or just enough to choke on gets me too!
You all are great

Hi, HH.
Not going to the Dali Fest, but that would be fun.
I'll be leading a jazz quintet at the Child of the Sun Jazz Festival (http://www.flsouthern.edu/academics/music/jazz.htm)the same day, at Florida Southern College in Lakeland. It's a good free-admission jazz fest.
(And for Central Florida folks who might want to know): We play at 3:15, followed by a trio led by drummer Jimmy Cobb (played on Miles' Kind of Blue), and then a quintet led by a fast-rising NYC guitarist, Roni Ben-Hur.

and speaking of beloved cereal boxes of yore, anyone remember when you could cut out little 45s from the backs of boxes, and they actually played on your turntable?
Seems like I had one of those with music by the Monkees or the Archies, or was it the Banana Splits?
yeah, I know, that dates me.

In this world where you can research anything with a click of the mouse, I found a link with info about cereal box records:

Members of the Beatle's fan club got those little, cut-out records at Christmastime with a "personal" message from "the boys". ;)

I remember two types of those promo 45s marketed to kids -- one was the kind that you cut from the back of the box and the other was some kind of very thin, floppy plastic, colored red, that, I think was an insert in magazines.
BigDag, thanks for the link -- will check it out
