Hey, Y'all!!
I just got this e-mail from Levees.org and though that my kind, caring, supportive Threadhead comrades might like to know about it also (in case you don't already, if so - please forgive the redundancy) . . . if you like it, please help out by sending to your family and friends, as well as any powers-that-be/Grand Poobahs/media muckety-mucks in your area.
It's important not to let levee safety fade from memory and view.
Thanks! :)

Harry Shearer (Saturday Night Live, The Simpsons, This is Spinal Tap) volunteers with Levees.Org in a national TV ad campaign.
Harry tells why people everywhere should be concerned about levees - not just New Orleans. Recently, the Army Corps of Engineers released a list of 146 levees that are unsafe and one-third of them are in California!
Help Harry help us by forwarding the Harry Shearer video to your friends and family.
Click here to watch the video! (http://www.levees.org/)
The 30-second video is a collaborative effort of Levees.Org, Mr. Shearer and two award winning filmmakers who recently moved back to New Orleans. This is the first in a series of Public Service Announcements starring national celebrities to show our nation's citizens that what happened to New Orleans could happen to them, too.
This will help most by sending this to family and friends who live outside New Orleans and Louisiana.
Then send to 10 friends with the simple share link. (http://www.levees.org/share?ref=http://www.levees.org&comments=Harry%20Shearer%20%28Saturday%20Night%20L ive,%20The%20Simpsons%29%20explains%20why%20safe%2 0levees%20are%20a%20national%20issue,%20not%20just %20a%20New%20Orleans%20problem.&friends=%20)
Want to do even more???
Then please ask your local TV stations to broadcast the video. Tell them a broadcast quality Public Service Announcement (PSA) can be downloaded directly from Levees.Org's website. Your local TV station will listen to you, not to mention that by FCC regulations, they must provide a certain amount of PSA programming and this can help them meet that requirement, as well as help with levee safety.
Thank you for helping!
