Obviously, I used a term not familiar with this bored, so I'm tweaking my threads to be event-oriented. (Oops, I maybe should have said event-Asian). Anyway, who's going to be showing up for WATS, and where you gonna be?

I'm planning on being there for Marcia! Don't know where I'll be but I hope to find some familiar faces to hang with. :D

Too early for me to tell yet. There's so much else that day - recovering from the Patry/Roux-Ga-Roux the night before may definitely require a sleep-in morning. Then there's the Rosetree drop-in party, Zephyrs game, Ingrid's backyard party, Ponderosa stomp . . .

I've always done Marcia in the park in past years, so I may do something different this time around. I don't think I'll be able to do them all.

Yup, Reverend Don . . . I'm in the same boat as our beloved Queen Neen. I've already committed to Rosetree's party, the Zephyr's game and Ingrid's backyard party. So, I think I'll have to enjoy the lovely and talented Marcia elsewhere during Fest.

Guess I'll be seeing a lot of you! :D

Have Ingrid's tix gone on sale yet?

Zydekitten

Yeah (sigh), I'll get to add you to the list of folks who've seen way too much of me . . . ;)

If nothing else, I can be a spare hand for you (literally) that day - which I'm more than happy to do, chere Neen! :)

I haven't heard anything about Ingrid's tickets going on sale yet and there's nothing on her site about it . . . maybe one of the better-connected Threadheads knows something I don't (well, there's a guarantee of that - but in this case, I mean about Ingrid's patry) . . .

it still 6+ weeks away. i think someone will post info when it becomes available. many people like to the threads with a 'scoop'.

True, that is what usually happens - however often someone may have the early 411 (hint-hint) to share . . .

It's the least I can do for you, Neenster - after all the help you've given us newer Threadheads over the years!!! :D

We should rent a bus! Now that would be a fun way to travel around all day. Party bus!

I just had a Peter Puma moment, myself. (well three or four.....) Where did you grab this picture from?

We don't have Marcia on our weekend this year so we've got to drop in on our way to the next party!

Play Ball ?!?!? ;)

that does make a difference. there will be quite a few people heading from the square to the backyard. maybe we should get a bus.

I was trying to arrange some group transpo last year and called the Airport Shuttle people. They tried to work it out for us but didn't have enough drivers/vans last year. It should be better this year.

Wouldn't it be great to have group transport to and from, say, Tip's for IAC or any number of other shows? :D

OMG - I LOVE Pete Puma!!! http://www.nonstick.com/sounds/Pete_Puma/ltpu_027.wav

Well, I'm a classic animation geek and I have all kinds of screen grabs and wav. files from old WB and MGM cartoons. I have some regular sites, but I usually just do a Google search and then select "Images" to find the really good screen grabs.

Brilliant!! One of my favorite wedding presents is a cell of Pepe le Pew with the pink perfume atomizer and Ms. Kitty with her pink hearts.

I was lucky enough to help open the first Warner Bros. store in San Francisco and it was sheer heaven (well, for a retail job)!

Those are some great wedding gifts, Festie!!! :D

I can't grab the image but it is "Pepe Le Pew Loves You".

When we had the Warner Bros. store down here, they had a Peter Puma but it was a little out of my price range at the time.

Zydekitten
03-18-2007, 11:47 PM
Well, that was another of the great things about working there . . . the employee discount ;)

I'm still sad that they closed all those stores - they were very popular. :(

Wednedaze: Rosetree's, dinner at Nola, Stomp. No time for WATS. Group transport is a grand idea for any big event...count me in if we can arrange such!

I love Marcia, but doubt if I can make it either. In between Rosetree & the Stomp, I'm going to have to take a nap. Sorry, but I'm old.

Like a total ditz, I forgot to bring my camera, but there were plenty of others, so they Should be showing up on the "official site" http://www.wednesdayatthesquare.com/ We saw alot of old friends, including Anne and Robert, who lost their house in the Carrolton Tornado. We also saw a bunch of the LA Music Factory crowd, our girl from the 30x90 Band, DJ Davis Rogan, and even Bruce "Sunpie" Barnes stopped by to say hello. Oh yeah, and there was the MUSIC!
The Hot 8 were just that, having the crowd shakin' their Rugulators mightily by the end of their set. They sold out their CD's and T-shirts, God bless 'em.
The Iguanas were short their other sax player, Derek Houston (anybody know what's up with that?), but soldiered on through their usual LA/TEX/MEX music, with "Flame On" drawing the greatest reaction from the crowd.
Great crafts, food, and bar service, but YLC needs to SERIOUSLY anticipate the popularity of this event, and supply adequate toilet facilities.
Next week Cowboy Mouth, with their first WATS performance with the new guitar player.
I'll keep y'all posted,
RevDon, www.RomanceinNewOrleans.com
