I'll be in NOLA Barb, but say hi to Tom Martin for me. I know he'll be there. Are you going to Harry C. on Saturday?

And shoo girl...dance in front...don't be shy. Gawd, what am I saying???? Shy is one thing you're not :D

Great venue, Great band, lots of guinness. What more can you ask for. Fitzgeralds is one of the best places for music in Chicagoland. Can't wait.

Can't make it, bummed that Jon is there on that particular night as I have St Pattys festivities elsewhere. YYR, mzol, Fitz's one of my fav places to go hear music, they book the best. And now its smoke-free.

Have you been to Emmit's?

I was interviewing at the optometry school, and stayed at a hostel with a bunch of international kids, including a couple of English kids. Well, the owner of Emmit's was drinking and got belligerent, and started to pick a fight with one of the English kids!

Luckily, the bouncer, an Irish guy too, broke it up and the rest of the night, we had free drinks!

Plus, that place was in the movie Ocean's Eleven!

Used to hang out there (Emmits) when it was OSullivan's. Place has great character. And, at that time, great characters. Detectives, firemen, politicians, the usual Chicago suspects. Don't know 'bout now. And with all those windows, it's a great daytime bar.
