Thank you very much for the help here - I was starting to feel pretty stoopid when I could not figure out how to upload a simple image. This saved the day (and my pride)!

Funny....I finally figured out how to add an image a few minutes ago and then came upon this post as I was searching for something to reply to in order to see if my pic comes up. Anyways, I used imageshack. Let's see if it worked:confused:

Once you have created a free account, it should say upload. Click on this and it will look into the My pictures folder of your computer. You select the picture that you want to upload. Once that is complete, there is a URL address beside your picture in photobucket. Copy that address and then come back to this thread and click on the little yellow envelope at the top of your reply thread and then paste. Hope this helps.

or you could paste the url address in the avatar section under the User CP and that would add the picture next to your name.

Except that your avatar pic can't be bigger than 80x80px or 19k.

Nash - I just helped Festingator with the very same issue - send it to me at red_beansandrice@sbcglobal.net and I'll be happy to resize it for you and send back!

I've had its standard avatar resize function still make the image not small enough for the Bored's needs . . . so I use my Photoshop, just as easy.
There's also a really good free software program for those who don't have Photoshop (although I'm more than happy to help folks outn with resizing), called Irfanview.
This is freeware and you can download it below - it's totally safe and secure software (I had it myself until I got Photoshop):
http://www.irfanview.com/index.htm
It's very easy to use like you'd use Photoshop to tweak and resize images.

Kitty, why do you reckon I lose the animation when I resize gif files in either photoshop and on photobucket? :o

I'm not Kitty but I do know that you can't do it in Photoshop. It only recognizes the first frame. You need something that specifically handles animated gifs. I do mine in Adobe Image Ready.

That's true if you just doing a straight resize function.

Thanks... just checked and I have Adobe Image Ready CS2. May as well get some use out of the programme since I have it. Will have a look at it on the weekend. Oh, wait... Friday's almost done so it IS the weeked. Wahfrigginhoooooooo!
Thanks for the offer Kitty, I don't have anything in particular to resize... just wondered why I hadn't been able to do it in the past.
