Just hit my inbox:

......
Yes, Fishheads, the Jazzfest Snafu season is upon us once again and we must
all rise to the occasion. This particular Snafu is critically important to
the world as we know it, for it seems that the Krewe of SNAFU needs to be
restored to its mean and nasty days of wild. And let's face it, there ain't
no better cleaning agent than the mighty Hot Lube itself to buff Snafu to
it's glorious grease-bucket finish.

*Grease* *SNAFU*, *A Hot Lube Odyssey** *
*Thursday May 3rd, 2007*
***Southport** Music Hall New Orleans, LA

*Hot Lube will fuel the Radiators engine to fire their Sparkplug and inject
their rods into the depths of your swampy soul and take you on an odyssey
with Wheels on Fire. On this journey, you'll learn about the origins of
Frenchman Street's legendary Lubian lore. So put on your Hi-Heeled Sneakers,
eat up your Pigmeat & Dead Shrimp, and bring your Jack O' Diamonds to the
party because the Swamp Rat will be raised from the boggy bottom to Shake
Your Willow Tree. If you ain't gonna get it on, take your Dead-Ass home and
be splayed out at St. James Infirmary. Remember, when the Hot Lube blinds
you, cripples you and makes you crazy, the last thing you'll remember is
that you were all Slippery When Wet!

This is the year GREASY, SWAMPY FISHHEAD MUSIC rears it's ugly head from the
ruins of Katrina's wreckage to wreak havoc on your hips and put a giant
smile upon your lips. And quite frankly folks, that's the Law of the Fish.

Tickets are available now. Get your Piece of the Grease right here, right
now:

http://www.radiators.musictoday.com/TheRadiators/calendar.aspx.

You'll be deep fried in a month or two.

Hey Now Great news about Southport. Much more room than Tips, and great prices on refreshing beverages! Snafu is always a Fest highlite, look forward to seeing you all there! Matthew

I agree, Southport is better than Tips or RnB. Better view, good acoustics, nice bar, larger venue, plenty of parking. Snafu is also posted on jazzfestgrids.com

i first went there many many years ago during fest. Dr. John & the Wild Magnolias. there were more people on stage than spectating.
it has lovely outdoor seating also.

Well, in everyday life, it means: situations normal: all fucked up. In fishhead speak, it's an annual Rads party!

Ah, a party - cool. Thanks for the assist, Miss Jenn - you're the guru, as ever! :)

I'm all too familiar with the SNAFU from everyday life - use the acronym often my own self - that, and FUBAR (another one of my favorite acronyms) . . . I was just clueless (not a surprise) about what it meant in connection with Jazzfest night music and the Rads.
