Hey all,

Since this is a particularly tight year $$ wise for lots of us I thought I would pass on a great link I stumbled upon that was actually developed last spring

Fifty Free things to do in New Orleans...

And our own Rosetree Glass Studios happens to ring in at # 29 on the list !!!

As a help to newbies, if there are things that are missing from the list, lets continue it here....

It's not completely free, but one of my favorites is riding the street car up and down St. Charles.

Freebie: catch an in-store performance at Louisiana Music Factory, 210 Decatur Street in the Quarter.

Stroll along Magazine street and hop in and out of the antique shops and window shop.

That's #43 ;)

Walk along the Jazz Walk of Fame on the Algiers levee. The tour is available on your cell phone (which I think is pretty cool)

One I didn't see listed that is not only free but often quite profitable is to follow ME around late at night, picking up the money, assorted "party supplies", random credit cards and hotel room keys that I happen to drop on my nocturnal wanderings.

(seriously, my friends used to tell me that I would actually end up saving $$$ by hiring a hard-working young go-getter to follow me around and pick up the assorted stuff I am sure to drop. I have since become a bit more organized, but after a late night at Tips or Howlin' Wolf, constantly pulling out cash for drinks and cab rides all night, I need to REALLY pay attention to what I am doing)

If you can somehow make it down after all this year, (which would certainly be great) maybe I can help you with expenses by putting you on the payroll...........

(Of course with all the Canadian cigarettes I am sure to mooch off of you, it might just be a wash)

"Venture into our "Cities of the Dead" for a self-guided day tour of a unique cemetery, especially St. Louis Cemetery #1, the closest one to the French Quarter (http://www.neworleansonline.com/neworleans/fq/)."

......and have an exciting interaction with friendly locals who will relieve you of you camera and cash!

I have never seen anyone recommend going into these cemeteries without a group. Too close to the bricks and much too confined a space for safety!
