i have to make a decision the next couple of days as to 2nd weekend -fri/sat or sat/sun, but unfortunately not both.
i dont care about knowing what bna's are playing when...but does anyone have info as to days (not times, of course) that these guys are playing?

Allen T/Irma tribute to Mahalia/DDBB/Beausoleil/Danza/Rick Trolsen/Tim Laughlin?

and first weekend...since i'm here....NOKAS and the rob wagner trio?

Doc, hang tight. According to a reputable source, the dailies should be out this week.

I know that BeauSoleil is the 6th of May at Fairgrounds.
DDBB is the 4th.
Tim Laughlin is Sun. May 7th New Orleans Jazz & Heritage Festival

It's not perfect, but Pollstar.com has a partial daily list. Sunday is definately more crowded than Friday but it's all about the music!!

thanks for the reminder to check pollstar-last time i did that it wasnt much help, but beneficial to me now. thanks-i had forgotten them.

after 23 years straight at the fest (with one exception-i didnt go in 1986 and i still bemoan that), crowds dont mean much. i rarely hit the bna's unless i have a big chief pass. there is too much else great stuff going on to bother. this year is no exception-in all liklihood i wont go near acura first weekend, and probably not second either even though that weekend i will be big chiefing it.

as soon as the dailies are released, the chant for the cubes will rise.

they're out. and i feel your pain - everyday looks good to me. there are many wouldnt want to miss bands for me on 2nd friday, but i dont see any of yours. but not positive. its hard to scan and doesnt seem to let you search. good luck.

ps - all 3, you need to go all 3!

ok-i made the decision and it really wasnt difficult after the names came out. its sat/sun for me 2nd weekend, fri/sat first.

of course, many others would choose different and you know, we are all right.
