ok, well we are definitely going Sat. Going to be at Ponchitos before for food and drinks, 103 MacDougal if you want to meet up. Really looking forward to this show!

Unfortunately, I couldn't go last night. Normally I'd be bummed, but I'm so psyched that I get to go to fest this year, that nothing can bring me down.

Too bad Daveclay. But , you are right, I am sure Jfest will more then make up for it. I'm on my way in to the show. Hope to see some Theads there. I'll post a review tomorrow.

Well, it was......I guess, a classic Anders show. What does that mean? That means he was late, arrived with his gear all packed up, a crowded house watched him hook up and tune everything, and finally, go on. He was good, although he kept tweaking the equip for sound. Then, after 4-5 songs, they took a break. They apologized saying that they would play a longer set. When they came back, Anders seemed a little bit more focused and they played a great set. Peaking with an awesome version of Ohio that Neil Young would have been impressed by. The song ended, Kurt Joseph said someting unintelligble into the Mike and the band walked off the stage and did not return. Weird, frustrating and yet awesome. That is Anders live.

So the not being ready aside, are you saying the show was good but not great, except for Ohio, which was awesome? :confused:

that's how I'm reading it too Funkk.....sounds like Anders straightened his azz up a bit for the 2nd set...

Yeah, I guess that is what I'm saying. Corona kinda hit on it. That is what Anders is live. I've come to not be surprised by all of the "issues" because he is so good he still makes it worth it.

I've seen Anders countless times over the last several years and can totally relate. He is a very captivating performer but at times can get sidetracked and you ask yourself where is he going with this! Sometimes it's good but sometimes it isn't! His version of Ohio is one of my favorite live songs.
I've noticed the past few years he doesn't change his setlist much but I still enjoy his shows. I'll probably go to one of his shows during the fest.
at the end of the show kirk said stop the war and get our boys out of iraq (something like that).
It was a good show - my friend brought along Gary US Bonds, who is a friend of her family. I think he had a good time, but then he had to go ...

I don't know where he went, but did he leave at A Quarter to Three?
