Our favorite venue, Concerts in the Studio, will be having Shannon McNally with a full band on Saturday, January 30th at 7 pm.

The performance is in garage converted to a photography studio, that holds about 60 people. Afterwards there is a delicious pot luck dinner in the photographer's house, and the artist usually hangs out, eats, and chats with the crowd.

Go to http://www.concertsinthestudio.com/upcomingperformances.html to get info about the show, as well as see some of Mark's portraits of past performers.

Shannon sold out when she played there solo a few years ago, so don't wait till the last minute to make a reservation.

Hope to see a few of you NJ/NY Threadheads there!

We saw her when she opened for Marc Broussard on his Soul Classics concert tour and didn't care for her.

Love her! She doesn't tour around here (MD) often and I had tix for her December show in Annapolis. Unfortunately, my fiance's work schedule prevented us from attending and I was so disappointed.

I'm curious as to why she doesn't get booked for JF more often. I really enjoyed her opening set a few years back.

Her performance at the Bobby Charles tribute set at Fest a couple of years ago, was a real highlight.
She's also drop-dead gorgeous !
Trivia Tidbit: Her husband Wallace Lester, used to work at the Louisiana Music Factory, which is apparently where they met ! How cool is that !!

I completely forgot about that set! That was supposed to be a Bobby Charles' set, if I remember correctly.

That's right...but as usual, Bobby C was a no-show. It turned into a great "tribute" set though.

Meters Fan's thread about house concerts inspired me to bump this. It was close to a sell out a week ago, but you might want to try to get tickets.

I like Shannon's singing & yes, she's a knockout. I've known Wallace for a LONG time (1994?). Driving back from California, I stopped in Moab, Utah, which was just beginning its transformation from a sleepy Mormon town to dirt bike Mecca. I saw a sign on a lampost for "Zuba", billed as a funk band. Why not, says I, broke up the long drive. Well Wallace was the drummer, band was fun. By the way he was dating the lead singer, also a talented, beautiful brunette. He knows how to pick 'em!

I haven't seen you two since the Ollabelle show at the Studio last summer. Still keep meaning to get up to RB to get my shirts. But it's such a long drive from LBI :-)..
Gonna miss this one too. But will be at the Wellmont in Montclair next month for Levon and then a few days later for Nevilles and Dr. John.
How's 'bout youse guys? :-)

Hi Steve! Been a while! Hope you make another one of the Studio shows sometime.

Won't be going to any of those shows you mention, but we are going to the Mardi Gras ball in NYC on 2/13.

If you can't make it to Red Bank to pick up shirts, we can ship 'em to you, you know. (e-mail us from our link below our signature)

See you around!
