The lunar eclipse thread reminded me that last year we noticed a large amount of water signs (especially Pisces) "get it" and also posted. Thought another head count might be in order.

Me, I'm a true Pisces (March 14th) in every sense. It's like they write those horoscope profiles just for me.

My Phillip (June 22nd) is a Cancer. Said to be a Pisces perfect match because, although also a water sign, they are able to walk on land and hence help to ground us floaty fishes.

Now, I'm not an Astrological know it all but it does make me want to go "hmmm."

I'm a Sagittarius (the very bestest sign ;) ) with Taurus rising. Fire sign and a fairly prototypical one . . .

Denbear is a Libra, and very much of one - he's always seeking balance and harmony in his life.

Also, to throw a slight drift in this thread, in the Chinese Horoscope:

I'm Year of the Dragon -again the best ;) (Wood Dragon, actually) and he's Year of the Rabbit (Metal Rabbit).

Thanks Kitten... that's a cool site.

Says I'm an Earth Monkey (1968), pretty accurate except for that mathematician part... I hated math... why I was an English Major.

I'm a Wood SnakeSnake people enter a room and there is Music, Music, Joy! Everyone dances! Such high spirit! The Snake is so intense and passionate, just as likely to take out the castanets as to climb mountains of snow. Snake year people are charming and romantic, often planning delightful hideaway surprises. Possessing tremendous wisdom, they are deep, quiet thinkers, calm by nature, but most intense. They often get involved in great causes, bigger than life, and often serve as mentors to the young. To paraphrase Confucius, they have a kind of inner beauty that arises, hovers, then comes to nest. They will have an abundance of good fortune and a long and prosperous life.

Yeah, I liked my Wood Dragon description too:

Dragon people are the most eccentric in the Chinese Zodiac. Soaring high into the serene heavens, they can be stubborn, passionate, excitable, honest, and brave, wear purple and walk barefoot in public fountains. They listen to their own drummer, thank you very much, while the rest of the world stands in amazement. People always admire their individuality and feisty personality. Dragons are capable of doing great work for mankind and they inspire trust in almost everyone. The Dragon symbolizes life and growth and is said to bring the five blessings: harmony, virtue, riches, fulfillment and longevity.

Hey LaTiDa, that's my Mom's bday and she & I were both English majors too :) Dad is also a Pisces, March 5 (tomorrow!) He'll be 62 and Mom 60 this year.

Another Pisces here (I'm sure everyone has noticed how many birthday threads there have been lately!) And YYR, last year's very scientific poll did indeed reveal more Pisces than anything, lot of Cancers too (they're another water sign so they're okay in my book -- and yes, a great match for we head in the clouds Pisces -- but you Cancers know how you can hide out in your shells sometimes!) :)

Year of the Tiger in the Chinese scheme for me.

I thought of doing an even more scientific poll here since we now have a polling feature, but it only goes up to 10 options. Maybe 2 separate polls, one for water and fire signs, one for earth and air signs. I'll do that now :)

You're very welcome LTD!!! Mine was pretty right on also, except about the rest of the world standing in amazement at the things I do - I don't think that happens.

I hated math too - I could have been good at it, but the ancient teaching methods used on me ruined it for me. I was an Liberal Arts chick. ;)

Chinese horoscope - I'm an Earth Pig. Sounds kind of nasty doesn't it. But my maiden name is Sweeney which is Irish for keeper of swine (pig farmer), so I guess it matches! And the description sure is sweet:

Pig people are friends for life. Their relationships are very deep, devoted, and rich beyond measure. The Pig people are noble and give and receive lots of hugs. They are gallant and extend old-fashioned chivalries towards people they meet. Pig People are quiet, studious, and thorough. On the other hand, they have a quick temper and sometimes have to pay for their rash impulsiveness. However, no one can overcome their inner strength; they have such tremendous fortitude and jump the goal post very time. The Pig will have an abundance of good fortune and an abundance of years. The Pig will know a life filled with serenity and riches.

The heart of the Earth Pig is something to behold, beating sweetly to the rhythm of love, and true friendship. So gentle and caring in their ways, they melt even the toughest of hearts, and have no trouble winning someone over into their web of love. This web is very enticing because it also promises financial security and a smooth sailing future without catastrophe. The Earth Pig, you see, is highly career minded. From early childhood days of lemonade stands and newspaper routes to holding high executive office, they have always had a strong sense of responsibility to get the work done, without complaining, without tiring. A strong work ethic always sees the Earth Pig through situations that might seem daunting to the weak in spirit

I'm a proud Scorpio! My Chinese sign is a Metal Rabbit. I learned something today....didn't know there were different elements in the Chinese astrology; thought it was just by the animal. I fit the Scorpio description more accurately however.

Lots and lots of Sweeneys around - good prolific Irish Catholic family, you know?

I'll let you in on a terrible secret. My name is Jeanine, pronounced Jah-Neen.
All through elementary school the teachers always mispronounced it as "Genie".

So I was Genie Sweeney.
Yikes!

Yes, Irish Catholic for sure (that's pretty much everyone in Butte, Montana, but they do have the best St. Pat's day in the area) :)
