Thank y'all SOOOOOOO much for the lovely, warm birthday wishes - they helped make the Day of Lisa a truly special day!
It was a great Weekend of Lisa. On the 12th Day of Lisa, my true love gave to meeeeee - a glass-blowing session at Rosetree. Such a fun, creative way to celebrate a birthday (not to mention, it's always wonderful to see Rosetree, Mrs. Rosetree and Rosebuddy)! Then a tasty lunch at DeMartino's for some sammiches.
Then, we braved the deep waters of several flooded out Uptown streets to have a YUMMY birthday/Reveillon dinner at Martinique Bistro on Lisa Eve . . . followed up on The Day of Lisa by a thrilling, nailbiting victory by our boys, Da Saints (13-0 on the 13th?! Couldn't be more appropeaux!)
Culminating the weekend (as we regained our normal cardiac rhythm after the game) was enjoying some Andrews Family music at the Treme Creole Gumbo Fest and visiting Delta's excellent booth there (if you haven't checked out her site lately, she's got some beautiful new pieces).
Finishing out the weekend were some drinks at Markey's with my bro and then a quiet dinner at home and a DELICIOUS cocoa cake (made from scratch by my sweetie)! Good times!!! :D

Sound like you had a great birthday. Here's to many more and also wishes for a wonderful wedding in the New Year. And may I also complement your choice of month and time of year for a birthday party. Ok, you had really no choice, but I still think it is an especially good season to have one's day celebrated.
