I'm not sure if the talent fields are petering out yet or not- but there certainly is enough 'gas' to last beyond our lifetimes....

Funny, but the same thing will kill both. Alternative rock killed rock and alternative energy will hopefully kill oil.

Quite humorous.
My theory is that rock'n'roll is based on white folks copying black music, and since rap has so dominated black pop music, there's nothing worth copying, except the old stuff.

Ah, but the basic blues are copied from the Amen cadence. Wynton Marsalis gives a wonderful instruction on this. So, the blues copied the sacred chants of Europe.
