John Boutte at dba this Saturday

Does anyone know if John is going to be there this week? I've got a friend arriving in NOLA on Saturday and he's asking me for entertainment ideas. I'm going to suggest he catch John at dba at 7:00 and then Sonny & John Lee Hooker, Jr at RnB at 9:00. The last time we tried to see John at dba we found out that he was out of town, even though he was still listed on the website and in the local press.

Anybody got an in who can confirm that he's there this week?

FWIW, on WWOZ a few minutes ago they were just talking about the later show at d.b.a. this Saturday, and they said "they'll be at d.b.a. following John Boutte's gig there this Saturday." But I have no idea whether they were doing anything other than reading the same schedule you are, which, as you note, is not always reliable. You could probably get the answer for sure by calling d.b.a.
