I've been home sick from work for three days, and I haven't even felt much like posting. I'm feeling a little better today, so I decided to pull out some of the old videos and enjoy the fest. I watched "Let the Good Times Roll" which is the 1990 fest with some other cool stuff thrown in, a tape of the 1988 fest which was produced by NOJHF (which has an awful time-stamp right through it), caught a night show with "The Dew Drop Revisited", and as a lagniappe watched "Piano Players Rarely Ever Play Together". It satisfied some of my 'jones' for the fest, but it did make me a little sad. Lots of great people in these videos who are no longer with us, including Stevenson Palfi. It was great to see Fess, Tuts Washington, Ernie K-Doe, Jessie Hill, Stevie Ray Vaughan, Percy Humphrey, Canray Fontenot, and a whole bunch of others who we'll never see again. It was also nice to see grass at the Ray Ban Stage. It brought back thoughts of the old low stages with front access, Kentwood water, and space to dance.

Geez, Stax!
Sound like another century, and the closest thing to a BNA is Stevie Ray!
Good therapy, though. I break out "Always for Pleasue" when I need a fix!
Hope you're feeling better!
