Wow, that's great. Also a nice article about the show:

Two great excerpts:
He epitomizes “cool” and may even love music more than me. Well, he certainly loves music more than he loves me, but he may also love music more than I love music. If that’s possible, Lanois is the one to do it.
Similarly, Lanois’ Black Dub reminded me of a band I’d stumble upon in New Orleans. If you haven’t been to New Orleans, here’s how it works: you can walk into any club (often without paying a cover), at any time of night (literally), and see a level of musicianship you didn’t know was possible, by a musician you’d never heard of. You’re left standing there, as the words “music” and “musician” are redefined before your eyes and you’re not sure how you’ll listen to anything else again. I know this about New Orleans, yet every time I’m there I text my friends in the middle of the night: “THIS is music.”
I love the description. Now how's that for a New Orleans motto? "New Orleans: THIS is music."

Ramon, I dont recall what part of Spain you live in, but I just wanted to be sure that you were aware that George Porter and Jon Cleary will be playing both Cartagena and Madrid with John Scofield and the Piety Street Band in mid-November...........
The Piety Street Band project is amazing, and for a funk-lover like yourself, a fine way to get a big New Orleans fix right in the heart of beautiful Espana. I hope you can give a great big "Hey Now" to Senors Porter and Cleary from all the Threadheads that can't make it over for the shows!!!
Adios, Matthew

Nice to see that Daryl Johnson - one of the those baaad NOLA bassplayers with an angelic voice and an almost irritating capability of playing what ever instrument that is laid in their hands - still is working with Mr. Lanois. And Brian Blade - I can´t think of drummer with the same able to play with feeling.
