Let's see if we can misconstrue this one also.
I like Bourbon in the morning also. But I am more partial to a Gin Fizz at Brennan’s or a good cold Coke. What is you favorite Eye-opener?
Sex and Coffee are ok to mention also.

Bourbon, bourbon, bourbon....bourbon makes everything better....bourbon with breakfast, mmmmm....
Seriously - I also have a NOLA favorite - it's a rum called Cane - it's simply fantastic. you can find it at Martin Wine Cellar (now on magazine for those who knew where it was on Baronne before) or in Metairie..... and I even saw a bottle on the shelf at the save-a-center on carrollton when I was there a few weeks back !! (see orleansnj nearly pass out in grocery.....)
But the bloody mary's at molly's on the market are good too if you're in that part o-town.....
goodness - I seem to have a breakfast variety.....

Azeater - you elitist alcoholic snob, you!!! ;)
Usually for me it's a COLD, COLD beer - but more recently when in NOLA, it's a lovely refreshing Pimms' Cup! Yum :)

.....you mean after the sex and coffee??? ;)
At the fest...every year is different. Used to be the pear tart. Then the bun vermacelli, or an Omar pie, but always the cracklins....they're all gone, gone I say...what is this poor world coming to!!!!!<snif, snif>
(I hope that some will be back this year;) )

I guess I am the tourist in the crowd. I go to DuMonde for some beignets and cafe au lait...that is of course after the coffee, sex, wake and bake and my morning nap;) I might make it to Liuzza's this year, though

On vacation 6 or 7 years ago after a long night of drinking a friend woke me up at 7:00am in the morning an shoved a redbull and vodka in my face. Cursed him profusely for waking me up,drank it and fell back asleep. Woke up 20 min later and was bouncing off the walls ready to paint the hotle room.

Early morning regular coffee. On the porch overlooking the levee with binoculars for excellet bird spotting.
A mild cigar and reading the T-P about JF features for the day.
Very light breakfast and then a Busch beer while we mix Jazz Juice for the day.
Then the JJ test phase, then the ride to the fairgrounds.
There is some extra smokage in there too, somwhere, I think.
My eyes and ears will be wide open by 10am.
