Yes, we are still taking pre-orders for the physical CD at http://www.threadheadrecords.com/holidaycdpresale.htm
Well, now you can digitally download the CD in its entirety (plus a hidden bonus track, track 13) for $9.99. You can find a link to the downloads from the THR website. You can download the album TODAY. You don't have to wait until the CD comes out in late October/early November.
I would ask you---no, beg you: please don't make copies of the CD or digital downloads for others. We have a big mountain to climb in paying people back (about 14K), and it's going to take a lot of CD and download sales to do that. And once it's paid back, most, if not all of that 14K will be re-invested in future THR projects.
Thanks in advance.
Also, there will be other downloads available for purchase in the next few days, as we launch our Threadhead Records Live/Digital Download Series.
And more info in the next day or so on a new record company. Nod. Wink. Burp.
Sampled Alex's tune and I'm hooked. Already purchased a hard copy but downloading now because I'm impatient. Thanks!

By the way.....thanks to Bry for the internet work....and a HUGE thanks to Susan (CBH)....she has quarterbacked this project, done all the artwork, helped with getting the CD's printed....and more stuff that I can't even remember.

We could, also, use a little feedback on how the download process is working....

I tried it here this morning, just to make sure it worked. I can only speak from the Apple/Mac side of things, but it was pretty easy.
I'm amused by the notes for track 4.
Carol of the Bells 1:01

Just downloaded it. No problems. Except that now I'll be up another hour listening...:D
Downloaded on my iMac at home last night with no problems--quick and easy process.
Listened to the whole thing start to finish on my morning run today. For starters, I love it because it is exactly the same duration as my run; it ended literally just as I stepped back on my driveway.
It is a great mix of songs. It may be the booziest collection of Christmas songs ever put out--I felt like I should have a hangover by the time I got to the end. It is a dirty, naughty Santa who is the subject of many songs on this album. And I love that.
A surprise highlight for me is Shamarr's tune, with this beauty of a dart in the middle: "Just like the po po stereotyping me." Very catchy tune.
As expected, I love Alex's tune. I'm not sure, but I think it may be the first time ever that the word "prepubescent" makes its appearance in a Christmas song.
So many other highlights too though. These folks did a tremendous job putting together interesting, orginal tunes that sound great together or on their own. It will undoubtedly be the highlight in my holiday music rotation, and I plan to play it early and often so I can direct folks to THR to pick up their own copy when they invariably ask me about it.
Great work by all who had a hand in this. I suspect that we will be hearing it often on WWOZ, and I expect a rave review from Offbeat. And hopefully it will cause even more folks to seek out THR and the great artists on this record.
So on the "buy 10 get one free" deal, do you just put 10 in the quantity box and the rest is taken care of, or is there some special code you have to enter on the checkout page to get the free one? I'm going to get one for each of the various family members who saw most of these musicians at FrankFest earlier this year and had positive comments about them....

Is this the liner notes artwork and such, same as the hard copy CDs? Since I plan to buy a few (several)(many) at Festgiving, I can wait for that.

It's an awesome record. I've been listening to it all day. I owe my employer a day at work, because I did nothing today other than listen to that record.
