Has anybody stayed at the Lamothe House B&B on Esplanade? Thinking of booking a block of rooms for a special occasion but am concerned given the really disparate reviews found on tripadvisor. Many very good reviews and many very bad with the bad ones almost always mentioning cleanliness.
Feedback gratefully appreciated.
My one stay there (Festgiving last year) was fine. Not luxurious by any means, but ok quality and great location for the Frenchmen-loving crowd. Just use the Search function here to search for "Lamothe", see all the previous discussions.

Thank you all for the feedback. Certainly no shortage of lodging options in NOLA. Looking for that perfect place that combines the true spirit/feel of the city with a great location and reasonable price. This may be it. Thanks again.
I'm staying at the Frenchman for the Crescent City Blues festival. I think both places are owned by the same folks. Is one better than the other?

We stayed there four or five times in the '90s and quite liked it. Very New Orleans with its courtyard and elegant decay. But that was a while ago and don't know how it's been kept.

We've stayed there a couple of times. We liked it. Great location and free parking as of the last time we stayed.

We have friends that have stayed there every year for the past 3 years and are very happy with it. She says all the rooms are different sizes so maybe focusing on that when booking is a good idea....good luck!
