Sonny' s playin' 2nite & Iguanas 2moro in 3 day, 6 sq block annual downtown party. Dozen stages, mostly local (but talented) bands but also Thomas Mapfumo, Prezident Brown, Heavyweight Dub Champion & Melvin Seals w/ JGB (Jerry Garcia Band). All for (ready 4 this) $12 advance ticket (whole wk/end, not per day). Also doing Bonnie & Taj in town on Tue. :-)

Taj and Bonnie were rippin' here in SLC a few daze ago; you are sure to have a great time.............

Eug. Celebration was absolute blast. Sonny blew 5 friends' minds away, JGB sweet as always. Unexpected treat was 'Extra Golden', African music DRIVEN by drummer much like an Afr. Stanton M. Had everybody bouncing! Hot Buttered Rum closed it out w/ seriously sizzlin' strings.
Heartfelt "Where y'at" to T'redhed amigos! Was using phone 4 online awhile & damn Sprint browser disallowed response to bored. Finally bought new MacBook, so I'm back on bored. ;-)

That sounds like a great festival indeed . . . HBR had two wicked cool sets at the Mulberry Mountain Harvest Music Festival in Arkansas that were amongst the main highlights of that trip - hadn't seen them since you, Carmen and I saw them in Truckee back in 07 . . . loves me some Hot Buttered Rum!
