At least not in some regular venue. I'm sorry folks, but we got SPOILED last night. Put Tab in al Elk's lodge with about 100 people...

This must be the Tab from Houma. He kept saying it felt like playing back home and I believe him. I have never enjoyed the music so much, nor laughed so much. So what exactly is Nog as in eggnog, a noun or a verb?

Two sets, about 1 1/2 hours each. The second starting with 4 Tab solos. Plenty of good music, good laughs, good conversation = GREAT time.

WOW now that sounds like a great concert. Were you close enough to lick him?

I didn't, but Jane did, and we discussed that infamous photo as well.

Elks? Very nice. One of the best venues here in Dallas is a place called the Sons of Hermann Hall, an unaffiliated fraternal order. They use their upstairs ballroom as a music venue; mostly it's Americana, but I've seen some great blues there too, Marcia Ball, Gatemouth... There's just something about the vibe of the place.

He does seem to like the place (missed him last year). He said he'd be back next year if asked. Appearantly you have to provide him with some golfing as well.

I know what you mean. I saw Tab a couple of months ago at the Turning Point in Piermont, New York. Capacity is 78 people and it wasn't totally sold out. The music was great and we couldn't get over how funny he was. The show wasn't as long because he played two shows that night (the venue had to make it work somehow) - but a great experience all the same.

Tab is awesome in small venues. The favorite in Colorado is the Little Bear in Evergreen, which has had all the great bands (beneath the "Stones/Beatles level") since the early 70s.
Tab's shows there are 100% better than the bigger venues, like Herman's Hideaway in Denver

Last time he was here, we discussed as well. He said "The ladies should be careful, they don't know where this face has been". I said "You don't know where those tongues have been". Pour guy ..... Courvoisier right through the nose.
