Hey everyone, I'm reaching out on behalf of a friend who'll be moving down at the end of Sept to begin the rest of her life. I'm hoping to enlist the help of some of the locals' with directing/giving advice as to where would be the best or better neighborhoods to settle into, any leads for possible employment, and any or all info that would come in handy when settling in to a new enviroment. Now she's only been once, but saw enough to know that New Orleans is where she wanted to be.
Knowing the city can be dangerous, she wants to be in a safe neighborhood, as she'll be living alone (any realtors out there?). She has a car, but would like to live in the city.
She's a freelance graphic artist, graduated from the Pratt Institute in Brooklyn, and would like to also get work as a hostess at a restaraunt.
I can tell her where to eat, who to see, and where to see 'em, but whatever help you could privide would be greatly appreciated.
