Got this in my www.neworleanscitybusiness.com (http://www.neworleanscitybusiness.com) email update.

I think your space qualifies as interesting and unusual. Any publicity helps.

I didn't even realize that the New Dew Drop Inn thread was the bar thread. I've been wondering for months where the f%^ing bar went to and have been dying for a $%^&^ing dink for that long.

I'll look into the mustard situation and get back to you.

When we were there after CFF this year, I had a ridiculously overpriced and undersized Hebrew National dog  . . . and they had both French's and Guilden's mustards available at the condiment station.

Well, no one said ball park food was cheap!! In my world, ANY Heb Nat is better than a mushy Dodger Dog ;)

Rosie, there you go ...... gotta have Guldens!!!

Well, this was far beyond the usual ballpark overpriced . . . it was practically usurious!

However, you are correct - it was LEAGUES better than the crappy Dodger Dogs! ;)

Whenever I go to NYC, I come back with a 5 lb. bag of Bazzini's Pistachios. There are none better.

I had a small dinner party a couple of weeks ago when Swag was here, and I was talking to my sister the other day, and she said 'I don't mean to say anything negative...but why do y'all take pictures of all the food?'.... do you know we didn't take ONE picture of our guests! We are getting out of control.

4 or 5 bucks for a dog and 9 bucks for a beer is overpriced? ;)

I seem to remember when I had Sunday season tickets during the Stump Merrill era (otherwise known as "The Glory Years") it was Gulden's Spicy Brown. Of course that memory could be clouded to due the copious intake of beer consumed in an attempt to forget the games in the Stump Merrill era.

I'm thinking back to the Ralph Houk era, when Gulden's on a Hebrew national sometimes was the highlight of the game  ;)

Last trip to Dodger Stadium - $40 for two Brats (Dodger Dogs are inedible) & the Beers (still irks me that Mexican Beer is considered Imported here). Of course, that was after $15 parking - no public transportation to the Ravine. :(

Anaheim & Petco do a much better job on food & beer .... still, nothing like a Hebrew National @ The Stadium.

Don't think I've had a bad dog at a ballgame. Nathan's at a Brooklyn Cyclones game is yum as well with a Brooklyn Lager. Only about 8 bucks for the both.

Sam Adams Summer Ale is $5.25 at the Staten Island Yankees games.

Can't beat minor league ballgames.

Can't beat minor league ballgames.

My thoughts exactly.

Admission to the game = $4
Two-fer Tuesdays beer = $3
Front gate parking = free
Sitting close enough to hear the third baseman's shoes squeak = priceless

The closest we have is The Padres .... but at major league prices (sorry, SDers).

More on the mustard controversy. I have both a 72 and 73 Yankees yearbook that a friend gave me, and there is no mention or ads for either mustard in them. But oh the names......Jerry Kenney, Horace Clarke, Lindy McDaniel, the immortal Celerino Sanchez......:)

I also bought and still have a scorebook from 84 when I had those Sunday tickets. It was Phil Rizzuto Day against the White Sox (When they gave him a cow and it bowled him over........oh, and Tom Seaver won his 300th game too.) Anyway July 7th that season was French's Bold and Spicy Visor Day, so it seems my memory WAS clouded by copious beer consumption.

I guess that French's has been a Yankee mustard for a while now...but I'm not imagining Gulden's being there also, am I????

Celerino Sanchez....ah the memories...How about the Fritz Peterson/Mike Kekich wife swapping... ;)

No I don't think you are imagining the Guldens. I am however craving a dog with mustard right about now.

Fritz is still married to Kekich's wife, while the other half of the swap lasted about 3 months.

Baby, it was $6 for the @#$%^&ing dinky dog and $10 (yes, a whole sawbuck) for the damn beer!!!

At least the Jints got their act together food-wise back in the 90s and now have the yummiest and best variety of food in the Major Leagues (love dem garlic fries!!!).

I didn't even know you had that one (which the wife really uses). You almost got it right, but you have to add my initial after the name.
