Wasnt Widespread Panic supposed to be the headliner for this festival?

I would feel terrible for Phatpapa----his favorite band in his own backyard a no-show............

-----------------------------------------------
Anyone know whats up???

Not to worry, MM. They showed alright. 1st night they were on stage for 3 hours and 15 minutes straight with no break. 2nd night they played well over 2 hours, again with no set break. I'm not sure what other bands rock for that long but my guess would be not many. Both nights were ginormous to say the least. :D :D

Galactic brought the heat as usual and with Corey Henry crowd surfing again
John Butler was there without his trio but still kicked ass
Robert Randolph had everyone boogieing
Govt Mule's set was off the hook

Some of the bands I saw for the first time were:

Buddy Guy--I can't believe I have never gotten to see him live. He can play some blues y'all

Thievery Corporation is now one of my favorite bands. Lots and lots of energy

Gomez was very good

Incubus was enjoyed by all

Tool was not:(

Black Keys was a first as well and really dug them

I also caught a little taste of Gogol Bordello and Lyrics Born. Thumbs up

Overall, it was a fantastic weekend. It got a little hot in the afternoon but they had plenty of shade if you needed it. One downside was beers were freaking $8. I snuck in some vodka the second day and mixed it with fruit drinks they sold

I'll be back next year fo sure if they have it again!!
