Anybody going to see Dr.John and the Neville Brothers on the 29th?
damn...if i wasn't going to be in New Orleans, I'd definately drive down to atlanta for this show! what venue?
I'd rather go to New Orleans seeing as how it's at Chastain Park.

crap! i really hope to see a show there this summer! i've never been!
You're not missing much. They let you bring in food and drink so some nights it's nothing more than background music while a bunch of rude assholes eat, drink, and be merry at the expense of the artists. Several musicians(Neil Young, Dylan, Bobby McFerrin)have walked off stage in disgust.

oh that makes me sad to hear! we used to have a lot of shows in Raleigh, NC at the Museum, and it was the same setting, but folks were very respectful and it was a wonderful experience. that's really to bad.....
That's why I only go see shows I know are gonna rock. Dr.John/Nevilles-yes. James Taylor or Willie Nelson-no way.

I was seriously thinking about that show until I saw Buckwheat at Smith's on that same night. It's going to be a early show with doors open at 6:00. He must come on early as they have someone else performing later with doors opening at 9:00. I'll have more fun at Buckwheat though I'm sure the Nevilles and Dr. John will be great.
